Indigo Epic Trail
The Indigo Epic mountain bike trail opened in March 2023 and connects the two towns of Beechworth and Yackandandah. This mostly machine built, blue rated trail is about 56km long and is open year round. It winds through beautiful bushland and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

Mountain Bike Parks
Beechworth Mountain Bike Park
The trails here have you riding technical single track and granite rock features. Of course being in Beechworth there is lots of climbing but there are also some great descents through the bushland.
The park offers a pump track and skills park, a green loop for beginners as well as blue and black trails for more confident riders.
Beechworth Mountain Bike Park is a short ride from the town and beginning of the Indigo Epic Trail.
Yackandandah Mountain Bike Park
The park includes about 50km of mountain bike single track (built by the locals) with highlights from the historic gold mining era.
The trails are well sign posted with four main cross country loops: Green loop (suitable for all rider levels), Red Loop, Yellow Loop and Purple Loop.
Also, the Indigo Epic Trail includes part of the Yackendandah mountain bike park trails as part of the official loop.

Beechworth is surrounded by scenic country roads that offer fantastic road riding opportunities, albeit hilly rides given Beechworth’s is located at the top of a hill. The roads wind through beautiful farmland and offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
One popular route is the Beechworth to Stanley loop, which takes you through some of the most picturesque countryside in the region.
